Bubba1135 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Have fitted a set of indicators on my new efe as they weren't on when I got it. When I put the headlight on both fronts light up, as well as the headlight, the rears don't light up unless activated. Am a bit stumped, any help would be much appreciated. Quote
Duckndive Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 well i would say the fronts are connected to the wrong wires in loom 1 Quote
wraith Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Sounds like you have a US harness as they have the indicators wired into the headlight/side light. If you trace the wires you will find 3 wires going to the indicators at some point instead of the UK 2 wires 1 Quote
Bubba1135 Posted November 11, 2023 Author Posted November 11, 2023 It's a Netherlands import, rears only seem to have two wires, fronts have three. Quote
Duckndive Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 find the 2 that are the feed and earth for the bulb and just use those 1 Quote

Isleoman Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 (edited) Are front running lights legal in the UK? Personally I think they provide better visibility to approaching vehicles. If there are three wires then there should be two filaments in the bulbs, one for running lights and one for turns. Edited November 12, 2023 by Isleoman 1 Quote
Gixer1460 Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 They are frowned upon in UK as in bad weather, poor visibility the two lights could be mistaken for two bikes a distance away - not one, who is about to slam into them when they pull out! We're not in merica, and they ain't cool, so ditch them. Quote
Bubba1135 Posted December 29, 2023 Author Posted December 29, 2023 (edited) Just a quick update, sorted the wires then the bloody flasher relay went. Replaced that..all sorted, out on test ride speedo cable snapped so on the bench again and replaced that.
