Swirl Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Easy question for some of you, what carbs were standard on the 750 slingshot oil boiler, the next question which are the best carbs for the 750 slingshot oil boiler Quote
Captain Chaos Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 J/K has Mikuni BST36SS, L/M has BST38SS. The 36s are better on a 750. 1 Quote
Captain Chaos Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Although I think Keihin FCR33 or 35 flatslides are even better 1 Quote
Swirl Posted January 18, 2016 Author Posted January 18, 2016 Cheers CC are the 38's any good for the 1127, in the end the plan is to shove an 1127 in there, but have a 750 lump and cash flow is a bit tight at the mo Quote
Captain Chaos Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I have 38's on my 1127 engine and am very happy with them. Took some time setting them up correctly but runs great now. Quote
Swirl Posted January 20, 2016 Author Posted January 20, 2016 just bought some BST38SS from PeteStansfield on that well known auction site Quote
boilerdude Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Just out of curiosity captain chaos. Would you mind sharing your settings for 750m carbs on a 1127? Quote
Captain Chaos Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 I would if I remembered them. Not 100% sure but I think main jet 155, needle in the midle position, pilot screw 2,5 turns out. That is with stock Slingy 1100 exhaust and K&N dual pods on a Powerscreen 1100 engine. 2 Quote
wraith Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I have the 750 38mm carbs on the GSXF Kat , 1127 motor with k@n pod fillters, GSXR1000k2 zorst and open can. I have the settings at 3 turns out on pilot sreew 144 main jets Beadle in the center, spits flames out on over run so not bang on will be putting it on a dyna before summer. A grate carb for the 1127 motor. Quote
