Upshotknothole Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I’ve got a spare big bore cylinder block. I can measure it, it’s bored for 1340/1371 liners but is currently bare. Really not much meat left between 1&2, 3&4. 1 Quote

DTubeMan Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Curious about both the lipsize and bore, thanks mate! Quote

Are you in Europe by any chance and willing to let go of the cilinder? I'm in the states and it took me ages to track these down. Sorry, not for sale. I'll go out to my garage later and measure it, it's been snowing all morning and not in any rush to go out there at the moment. Also the dimensions for the sleeves can be found here. http://gsxrzone.com/sleeves.html 1 Quote

And no worries about the time, when you do get a chance, I’d love to know the dimensions. I know that the sleeve dimensions are out there, but Im curious how tight the squeeze between the cilinder and the sleeve need to be keep us up to date about your project too Quote

Duckndive Posted February 6 Posted February 6 I doubt very much that MTC , APE Etc actually make there own sleeves they most likely buy them from https://www.lasleeve.com/ at a trade price 3 Quote

Any idea what the difference would be? Are we talking like a thou bigger than the cylinder? or? Quote
Gixer1460 Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Anything up to 3 thou is considered reasonable for an interference fit, obviously the bigger you go, the more expansion / shrinkage required. And bear in mind this is all before finished boring / honing is carried out - installing finished sleeves is a No - No (although i'm sure some people have done it!) 1 Quote

Would prefer to go for the expansion/shrinkage method. Definitely will be fitting them in before boring and honing, but appreciate the headsup. Quote
DTubeMan Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Exciting news guys, first parts are ordered and expected around beginning of March. 1 Quote
DTubeMan Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Also quick question. According to Wossner, the comp ratio is going to 12.5 to 1. Will I be able to run BP 98 ultimate or shell 98 Vpower? Quote

Simple answer yes it should be ok .. but you will need to set it up accordingly But you need to work out the actual C/R based on the actual measurements of your components "its not a guessing game" 1 Quote

Was worried for a second it wouldn't be Quote
