Hi everyone , wondered if there is anyone out there , who can tell me if I can put my fully tricked out 1127 katana engine in a gsxr 1000 K4 frame ? As I’ve just acquired the 1000  minus engine ?!

I've seen a SRAD with an oilcooled 1100 engine once. But only once, and it was not finished yet.

looks like I’ll have to offer the engine up to the frame & see ? Just would be nice if someone could shed some light on it 2 c if I’m wasting my time ?

Logic suggests old engines are bigger in dimension. Have you measured the width between frame spars?

my guess is it'll be a squeeze with the cylinder head in-between the frame, and if it does go in their won't be any side to side movement if the output sprocket needs moving. also will the carbs fit in ?   only a guess though ??????

On the right, an oil cooled header.

On the left, a K1 header
