fatblokeonbandit
You dont need a modified stem you need to swop stems, done it many many times, BUT if the B6 is an older one the stem will be wedded in, almost impossible to remove, also B6 stems for some unknown reason are 0.1 mm smaller that b12 and slingshot ones, so If you can get the 600 stem out it needs knurling to make it a tight fit. So options, get a bottom yoke from ebog but check it not welded in first, or find someone with a drawer full of B12 stems and a 10 tonne press Then all you need to do is sort out the lock stops. 1 Quote Link to comment
paddle
I can probably macine a new one to fit ive not looked at the B6 one yet but the bike is a 2000 mk1 so could that be welded or pressed in ?? I will take a look tonight.im keen to get on the new cnc lathe at work so a new one shouldn't be a problem Thanks Quote Link to comment
Swiss Toni
As FBOAB says, some early stems are welded into the yoke. As the B6 has been around since '96, and yours is 2k, you should be able to press it out. Assuming it is still the original 2000 yoke! Quote Link to comment
paddle
Would this be a pressed in item (excuse the cobwebs) 1 Quote Link to comment
