Stevemilne750 Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 Can this damage be repaired or not I know the large dent should be easy enough not sure about the other dent. Getting the tank for £20 so I thought worth a shot. Quote
Gixer1460 Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 If the side one has creased it makes it a bit tricky but someone who knows what they are doing with a gas torch could 'shrink' them out, minimising the filler. Obvs will require a repaint! Might be possible with weld pins and a slide hammer but tank metal is usually heavier guage so harder to pull out. Quote
Swiss Toni Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 Definitely worth a punt. Those tanks are getting quite hard to come by! Quote

Yeah I just picked it up today and those photos were sent to me before I bought it. It's actually not as bad as it looks in photos so I reckon we'll worth it. Quote
Poldark Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 A good auto body shop should be able to repair those dents. The dent on top can likely be repaired without using a torch and no damage to the paint. The one on the right side looks more difficult. Take it to a shop and get an estimate. Quote
dedubyah Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 if it comes to it, can always cut the bottom of the tank out, weld it back after repair Quote
