EFE oil boiler mounts

Recommended Posts

Starting a project with an EFE frame I've acquired. Have a B12 motor here doing nothing, does anyone have any info on engine mounts? I'm sure I've read on here that someone was selling mounts for this swap? Or have I dreamed that up whilst full of ale?

Cheers

Dept on skills there not hard to do in steel

I used the original EFE front plates to position the engine and made the rest to suit from various engine plates I had kicking about

The position of the engine is another debate 9_9 as some mount it forward "reduces exhaust issues"

some put it in the middle some to the rear O.o

Ooops forgot the left hand rear top mount is welded to the frame on fatty so you need to cut it off and make a new one..

I seem to remember @Quistwas doing them at one point?

Correct and in stock too. Grumpy is selling our kits too btw (Y)

But these won't fit a EFE, only GS / GSX.

Found the info I needed in the vault on here. Posting up the link in case anyone stumbles on this thread and is looking for the same information

I did have a few sets of these made.

If you get some laser cut, the 2 mounts on the bottom rear, get them cut 2mm longer and shorten if needed (out of the 30 sets I had made, about 5/6 people fed back that they were too short. Better to cut them long and trim back if needed)

The upper right rear is approx 10mm too long on those drawings too

All easily worked around(y)
