370steve Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 whats the biggest bore size i can use without having to screw around with upsetting oil ways/opening up the crank cases? Quote

A bandit 12 with a 1246 bore should share the same wall thickness (in its liner) as an 1127 with a 1216 bore. 1 Quote

Then there is the possibility of breaking into the oil gallery in the cases - bores bigger than 81mm with corresponding bigger liners tend to use external oil lines and go dry block. 1 Quote

Lees 1340 never had a problem and a certain poster with a silly boosted one seams to get away with it 1 Quote
clivegto Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 I have a 1340 big block motor with all the oil ways in tact in the crank cases where it's been opened out. 1 Quote
clivegto Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Think Warpspeed racing would make you a billet big block, the ones I have are sand cast. 1 Quote
