Not posted for quite some time as 1371 been sat quietly in corner awaiting some inspiration on how I wanted to update her. Breaking a rough k2 1000 few months ago I'd had a couple of years donated whole front end which is simple top bearing swap (marksman bearings provided an "all balls kit") . Sold the  complete dated Gsxr750 usd front end so providing some 1371 funds. Trawling Facebook got me a better k2 front wheel complete with new bearings and 2 pack painted red. than the one I had ( set of k2 had been polished.) with  latest brand new pirelli corsa and quality new renthall bars and risers.Partly stripped bike as wiring isn't great so probably either buy a new loom £300 (csml)  or make one.  Probably latter as I'd like moto gadget m unit. Having the rear 6" k2 1000 wheel (15.1 kg with everything on it including spindle compared with 18.2 kg slingshot rear) I trial fitted but spindle diameter is  hollow 29mm  on k2 1000 + alot lighter compared to 20mm solid  on the slingshot rear already fitted. The jmc arm probably hasn't enough meat to widen spindle  adjuster slot to 29mm.still thinking on how to proceed.few ideas in my head  May even  go down the Water-cooled frame route as 6" wheel won't be a problem with alignment just the lower rear mount to contend with  plus I hate powder coated frames. Nos bottle hanger needs dumping and bottle repositioning. ( bit more subtle) . Like the idea of a fairing but not a lover of fork mounted ones. Maybe half fairing. In no rush just want to get it right as that engine deserves it.  Here's some pics  I took today.
