Engine turns over very slowly

gotta slabby 1100 engine that turns over like battery is flat, always starts but it aint right , have changed battery and tried several starter motors and no joy , any ideas please ?

…..have you checked the oil pan for …..shall we say.....golden fairy dust mixed with the oil ?

Check the cranking voltage, if it drops significantly when you push the tit, your battery is probably shot.......

brand new battery, even does it  when rigged to jumppack or being jumped from car,  have by checked earth and replaced it .

have taken cover off and checked where starter motor goes all teeth intact and as good as new

Connect jump pack directly to the starter motor, if it spins ok then it's the solenoid or wiring, if it's slow still, pull starter and see if it spins freely whilst not turning the engine??

have already tried that and checked all 3 starter motors iv'e got and there all good , it seems like its running too much compression ?

whip the plugs out and see if it spins really fats then

When you have the plugs out, turn it over by hand, just to see if you can feel anything tight as you turn it over.

if the battery and starter are new, then try the solenoid. try linking the two poles of the solenoid with an old spanner. if the contacts in the solenoid are burnt, then the current from the battery will not get through to the starter.

thats  the thing to try , engine runs well and did couple of track days no problem lifts the wheel in 2nd gear if your a bit heavy handed without clutching it up ! so wouldnt be surprised to find its played with a bit .

Could very well be high compression.

Whipped the plugs out and it still turns over slow,  !!!

so....good battery / ground / starter /……….probably improper crank main bearing / con rod bearing clearances...….either way  you go …...will probably need to come apart and checked .
