  1. Niceone. I find they are the best way to remove super stubborn pistons. With potentially 8000psi pumped in, there's no way to hide...
  2. You can use the bleed nipple to pump the grease in when backed off. Plug the banjo hole with a blanking plug the same size thread or make an adapter that fits to take the grease gun squirty end screw in.
  3. Have you a grease gun? You can pump the pistons out safely this way. Bit messy but you'll be cleaning them out anyway before re-freshing. As they are single piston on the front they'll pop out nicely without any faff.
  4. Just a thought, have you checked the float bowl on that particular carb that's giving issues? Have a look at the brass bowl spigot, the long one and the hole that this leads to. I had a similar issue a few years back with a blocked hole on a katana inhibiting the bowl to 'breathe' thus not allowing fuel to pass kind of creating an air lock in that particular carb. Had me flummoxed for a while. Swapped bowl with a known good item and problem solved. May not be the issue but worth a go. Hope that made sense, sorry have had a couple...
  5. That's a very good question. I personally havent. I seem to recall they are very similar, but never thought to try them. I'll have a look at work tomorrow as there is a set attached to a set of carbs we have laying around. I also have my et there to to compare if I get a mo.
  6. How was it?
  7. The carbs will need rejetting to suit not having an airbox. It'll be running rather lean now with pods and those open pipes...
  8. As above, but in addition, you said the carbs have been cleaned. Have you checked all the passageways in the float bowls are clear? Just double check the orifices are clear in each bowl. Have chased issues with rough running at idle before only to find the float bowl vent spigot was partially blocked( and the hole in the bottom of the bowl this leads to), resulting in fluffy idle. This was on my own gsx 750 and a customer's Kat 1100. Similar float bowls.
  9. Yeah, 1100 16, 750 are 14mm.
  10. What gsx r frame are you thinking? Might be a squeeze....
  11. Ah yes, this is my other one I've owned for many years. This one's just had a re-fresh. The turbo gsx is another build from the parts stash I couldn't bring myself to part with...more from that one coming up in the not too distant.
  12. Cheers. The brake splitter was something we made for Williams F1 if I recall. We made a batch of them and had leftovers...that is pretty much the only reason. Ties in nice with the brembo discs and accossato levers. Waaaay overkill on this lol.
  13. Close now...
