  1. Off to santa Pod tomorrow for the Green Light Nationals , a double header for rounds 4 and 5 of the acu etbike championship. It`s very tight in the points and I really need a good weekend if the weather allows. Off the bike it`s just good to be there and meet up with the et crowd again, partake of a few beers and generally have a good time. Race report will follow next week , wish me luck!
  2. Hi guys , I am ok carefully stripping my 1170 engine and putting it back together in reverse, but not confident with an efe engine I have bought in total bits. I may miss a washer or spring or whatever? Who should I trust to build the 1325 big valve thing I have which is totally dismantled. I am south of england . west london.
  3. Its not looking too bad believe it or not! Although if it did piss down I would still have points lead !
  4. 14 entered for this weekend at the Summer Nationals. Need to improve my qualifying as I am a bit of a slow starter. Hope to defend my points lead if possible. Going to be tough as usuall.

looking great in that pic , very cool
  6. where`d them new bikes go?
  7. Another successful weekend at the Springspeed Nationals , Santa Pod. Only 1 qualifier on a rain hit saturday but managed 5th place with a poorly Katana running on 2 cylinders for the last 1/8 mile. Problems for Justin Malton in round 1 so went through on an easing up 10.69 on 10.50. ran a 10.59 in round 2 against Peter to set up a semi final with number 1 qualifier Paul Adams. trimmed my dial in a bit to 10.52 and managed a 10.55 and a red light from Paul Gave it me anyway. Old skool Suzuki final against Stephen Ashby on the Pyro Turbo. Steve had me slightly on both reaction and ET but he had to ride out a turbo wheelie before chasing me down to beat me by about 8 hundredths. A great weekend keeping my points lead for a few more weeks before the summer nationals in June. Thanks to all the crews and riders who make it such a good crack. Last , thanks to my crew this weekend , Carl Hester, George Forest , Dave Forest and Adam Hennessy Long , the band were pretty good saturday night which always helps!
  8. Wiring all sorted using a 100amp relay to kill all power via the lanyard. Off to the Pod again tomorrow, first time in 3 years I am leading the points! Will be trying hard to keep this winged hammer on top.
  9. Have next weekend to sort as i am away this week, thanks for your advice.
  10. Ran my cut out lanyard through a halfords relay with too low amp wires, when starting it tends to heat everything up a bit! Electrical numpty as you can guess. Looked on Eblag they have cheapo 100a relays, would rather pay a bit more to have something reliable. Would pay someone to do it.
  11. I ran 10.66 on 10.62 dial , Jordan 9.81 on a 9.80 , 0.01 reaction for me just shaded it!
  12. Amazing weekend at festival of power, ran some really consistent times and nailed a couple of reaction times when it mattered. 4 very close races but I was fortunately on the winning side so won the first event of the year . Top 7 qualifiers within a tenth of dial in, I was 6th. Beat a 250 yamaha 2 stroke, a 180cc rapid scooter, a 8.8 second gsxr1000 and a turbo gsx1400 in the final. A great class , with great racers. Bumped into Anna , fellow winged hammer and a few other familiar faces. Got some wiring to fix now before springspeed in 2 weeks, wires not man enough and melted during starter motor use. Big amp cables and relay need fitting, not sure how?
  13. All ready to load up for the first round of etbike this weekend at the Pod. Looking like nice weather for a change.

    Bike Ready

Good luck mate , looks nice
  15. Oil and Filter change on the old Kat and a few minor techy changes and she`s ready to run some consistent times again , starting at the Festival of Power at easter. Anyone is welcome for a cold or warm drink in the team caravan! although i am often more relaxed down in fuelers bar during the evening .
  16. dial in et racing, just 10.5 is the middle ground of my dial ins. 10.4 to 10.8 ish depending on conditions. Its the 4th year since it was introduced and the dial ins are much tighter now.
  17. Thanks for your comments , I have got the 1170 running 10.5 very consistently after 3 years in etbike , runner up in the championship for 3 years but just fancied going faster aswel. will be staying as is for this year while I think what to do with the big engine on the shelf!
  18. Can you lot look at my poll and vote and elaborate in your usual manor , thanks.
  19. Managed to cut a 0.000 light at the redline rumble to bag some cash too, happy with that. Roll on 2019.
