    This is the M/N model

    actually that's the J/K/L model.

M/N has the top fairing wiring completely different. Plugs coming out under the left frame rail and going along the left air tube to the headlights and handlebar switches IIRC.

Through constantly running about together mine was 10 -20 % better on fuel consumption

could be your riding style is more economic.

Last year I took my boss' car to Holland and back (in total 3200 km) and my average speed was higher and fuel consumption lower than when he drove it on the same trip.

  3. the 00001 bit is only relevant if it also has the original matching engine and the original amount of rivets fitted. Nobody else cares.

So install an oilcooled engine and a big f-off turbo. Don't forget to start a project thread on here. :D

Why would you install the left hand front wheel bearing first ?

that's the one that should be bottomed out. It determines that the wheel is centered, since it is at a fixed distance from the fork leg (the thickness of the speedo drive). The right bearing is then installed as deep as the crush tube allows.

Very small difference but still a difference.

Could have told you that xD

I knew that already. When they were new (20 years ago..... shit time flies) i maintained a couple of 1400s when i worked for a Suzuki dealer. Of course i test rode them, so i knew what they were like.
Last weeks ride only confirmed it.
