  1. ok ,thanks mate, any ideas on the stem. i was wondering if its maybe bandit fitment for usd forks, maybe?
  2. looking at the k6/7 rear caliper it looks like the carrier doesnt have a facilty for the torque arm, it looks like its the sliding type that fit the inside of the swingarm. the disc is also smaller in diamater 220mm to the gsxrs 240mm. i might be able to keep the gsxr 11s caliper the 600/750 disc, and use a TL1000s carrier ive got, which is for the same caliper as gsxr 11 and a 220 disc iirc. my swingarm gap is 246mm i checked twice, but that includes the chain adjusters im using the 5 bolt cush drive but im still waiting for it to arrive. thanks Clive that helps a lot, could you email me the drawing as im struggling to read it on my laptop ill pm you my email
  3. hello again. here's a longshot, but you never know, might be worth an ask. im looking to fit a gsxr 600/750 k6k7k8k9L0 rear wheel to my 1100m. swingarm I was wondering if anyone has done this already, im sure they have....and maybe kept a note of the spacers required, to save me from dicking around with washers/ and or bit of pipe to determine sizes required. thanks, i hope
  4. Anyone know which model this bottom yoke is from. Note single steering lock stop to the front. I'd of fork is 54. I'm thinking 750LM, or 1100L possibly. L If you found that too easy, t's got a differet stem which is 28mm at bottom, 25mm top, and distance top of stem to top of btm yoke is 225, any ideas? Cheers
  5. i would check the bottom shock mount where it is welded to the frame cross member. because harris never designed these frames to take a shock mounting there,, well the cross member of the frame isnt up to it. it is just a thin guage steel tube, and mine was bending. this would have led to catastrophic failure if i hadnt noticed it, and it had failed. it had been converted to a normal monoshock for a few years, but still.....id be checking and replacing.
  6. Hi, does anyone know the number of, or have a link. Looking to fit later model gsxr front end (gsxr 600/750 k7,8,9,L0) into 1100m I've been on all balls site but can't see anything. Thanks
  7. well, dont buy the aftermarket ali express ones, theyre miles out, 3 of the carb bodies lined up to an extent that you could probably stretch a bit to fit, the other one was half a hole out, ..waste of money........cheap shyte.... Im going to soak the original ones in oil and will ratchet these fukas on, with the help of some 4x2, if it kills me.......
  8. too late, new one took 5 mins to fit
  9. ok, cheers, sounds like grief, ill put up with 2 keys i think
  10. does the barrel not come out then Tony?
  11. As the title says, gas anyone done this or is it an impossible dream. looking to replace my petrol cap, but quite fancy keeping the lockset the same. How much of a ballache is it?
  12. I will try the AliExpress jobs see if they have enough give. When you ratchet them on are you just putting some steel plate over the carb intakes, strap round the front of the engine and force them on, I presume?
  13. Oh I tried heating, but they didn't soften up much at all
  14. This is for 36mm best from 1100L engine, into the 36mm rubbers. I've not changed anything, they have just gone solid over time. I've a set of the cheapo AliExpress rubbers, but heard they don't work. I might try them. In the meantime I'm sorting out wiring issues on my TL, it's proving to be such a great laugh.......not
  15. Right I've been dicking about trying to get my carbs on to some rock hard intake rubbers. Jesus wept, what a job. Used fan heater on them to try soften them up.....nope...tried sitting them in boiling water but by time I got em on bike they cooled and nope. So I've taken off rubbers and done the boiling water then forced them on individually. I'm wondering if I can fit them on the bike ? I can get an Allen key through from the back. Anyone ever tried this? I'm getting desperate
  16. joseph, did your mate get back to you? or anyone know where i could find a set please?
  17. These are 45mm intakes, so yes, need m or n rubbers
  18. been looking online to buy som e 40mm intakes for my fcr 39's, but cant seem to find any. tried cmsnl and the usual suspeocts, Eblag etc but nothing. I remember getting some replacement 36 inmtakes from some foreign site, they were reproductions, might have been chy-na, but cant seem to find 40s anywhere. Please dont tell me they are unobtainium.........
  19. i just filled mine and painted the whole lot. bit late for that now i suppose, id keep an eye on Eblag or some fb sites and here for 2nd handers.
  20. best bet is to plug it. the powerjets are only useful if you are running a full std airbox. the idea being that at high revs the negative pressure pulls some additional fuel up the powerjet and dumps it into the inlet. if you are running filters seperate, i would block it off.
