The response is 100% of the time "I've soldered for years and never had a problem" If thats the case youre either; Lucky, Never noticed a problem or telling porkies (these are the peope who shrink heatshrink down with a fag lighter). Theres no soldered joints in a factory loom and you'll never find one in a correctly and professionally built race bike loom which is arguably the acid test for any wiring job. Soldering PCBs is fine as its a completely inflexible thing but main looms are no go.
And besides, soldering looks shit
When explained like that makes perfect sense

Another way is to heat stud till red-hot then cool down with engine oil (very smokey)
and best done outside, but the heat draws the oil down the threads and makes it loose, its an old blacksmith trick -

If you can't find parts film on Internet, i found going on robinsons foundry site and looking at there parts film you can see the dimensions of each bolt, which should help you a bit

As said above put the puller back on and leave it under pressure, pop out every few hours give it a whack, will come eventually

Yeah my ez never sounded like that! Agree with @TonyGeeit's a bearing noise only issue is will it go away or cause big problems down the line

Saunders always bore to piston, as they will tell you there is a lot of pistons on the market where the manufacturing tolerances are a little suspect

In my experience they are reliable and honest and do a really good job and explain what they have done and also tell you what can't be done when you take in something that is past saving
so I'd always recommend them

As @coombehousesays the earth coming from the side plate that holds electricall components is well known for causing issues, and engine earth strap can go loose and get a bit of crap under it to cause intermediate problems

@Jdeacfunny how life changes, riding and messing with bikes used to be the one thing I never worried about,
but like others have said lots of heads have small cracks, obviously photos don't always show how bad they are!
Maybe pressure testing the head??

If she was running fine before she will still run fine!!
Difference is you now know the head is cracked, only question is can you live with it or will it nag at you from the back of your mind
