  1. This is the exact colour/finish i want
  2. Methinks so it's more "period" & i use that term loosely, i'm considering swapping out the front end for a B12 one. Only things i need is headstock bearing swap(s) & number(s) of them. Preferred ABM top yoke or risers to fit std yoke to take the Fatbars i have already, 4 pot 90mm calipers & a speedo worm drive.
  3. More stripdown (between new carpet & windows fitted) this bike is in a right mess!

You "WILL" get stung! I work for RM & am constantly posting cards for duties due for US, Japan & Canada bought goods
  5. Definitely not Gloss, original Yosh builds were always flat/matt black
  6. Any recco's then for next engine paint? Did a search for the old VHT make, but everyone uses them letters to describe their version!
  7. I think the choice of paint hasn't helped. I've used other Matt Black engine paint that was quite dark & has given no trouble, but this one is more grey & hasn't held up so well. Not a clue what make either were as i've binned the empty cans!
  8. Nah, the paint is the only thing that a quick polish will have it as new! It's the mould on the engine paint & grips that has me baffled?
  9. 4 years of stood still, mould dirt & dust hvae took their toll. So off with seat & tank, which btw has 1/2 a tanks worth of fuel still in it! Onto ramp & the strip begins
  10. After doing a Man Clutch (GS1000) it will feel light as a feather
  11. And given a choice, i'd choose the smallest one as it'll move less fluid
  12. As per my comment about removing piston, i found another slave in my er "collection" & it is also a different size. Could be interesting as i ordered a seal to fit the GSX1100F which is common for B12 & GSXR750F/G/H so i wonder too what the slightly smaller one is off? The difference on the sprocket cover too is the 1100F has vent slots in bottom & the other has cast non vent?
  13. IIRC the zorst cost around £360 & coating was £300. £660 total, which pretty much equates to an off the shelf price. Could be cheaper if you don't have the ceramic coat on the inside too
  14. Ceramic coated inside & out. The inner helps with gas flow apparently, but the outer stays flat & clean all the time in all weathers. Just a quick wipe down with a wet cloth. Had an issue with the downpipes going blue after a year or so, but Camcoat (Warrington) recoated them FOC when i emailed pics of it
  15. ExhaustCraft here too, SS pipe made to order with a oneoff flat collector box, then ceramic coated by Camcoat
  16. Right, having 2nd thoughts about taking this any further. Time mostly has made me rethink if i can be bothered, so may well sell the lot. This is what i have: X7 sprinter virtually complete with GSX tank & a race seat. No V5 Spare frame uncut but no V5 Spare frame minus sidestand lug with V5 Nearly a dozen wheels, 2 freshly P/coated in gloss black & lacquered. Spare engine, needs completing/rebuilding. Several Carbs, one pair completely refurbed & new parts fitted, plus lots of bodies & spares. Several containers with many Engine/G-box/Lekky/etc parts available. RD250 complete front & rear ends. Gen X7 tank in primer plus the GSX tank & a heavily filled X7 tank too. X7 swingarm needs a clean. Engine stand, new for X7. Probably more stuff not mentioned, but that's the gist of it. I will run this in the "For Sale" section if you knowledgeable folk reckon all of it is worth £2.5K? Pretty sure if i sold it as individual lots i could probably get more, but one big joblot makes more sense A few pics of what i have.
  17. Answered my own question, having trawled Fowlers Fische's i have spotted the GN125 are the same
  18. Question for the masses. I have several rear wheels that need a refurb, but i've noticed a couple of them have a 1 piece cush drive rubber with a central ring, as opposed to the what i thought normal 6 seperate pieces. Anybody know if these wheels are off summat else & not X7?
  19. You wouldn't believe it, work want me back
  20. Explains a lot. If i hadn't had the tank hydro dipped, i'd consider having it cut & flattened as it's never gonna need a large tank of fuel.
  21. Thanks, that answers my question
  22. Always had a thing for Purple haze myself
  23. Just removed the BST34's from the drag bike & transferred all the new hoses i had fitted to the BST38's. Then i noticed that the vac hose was spare & thought there's nowhere on carbs for it to fit. Also fitted the Carb rubbers & No4 has a spigot with a cap. Would this be the Vac hose connection?
  24. Maybe the lack of space is the 11 engine & tank in a 750 frame?
