I recently acquired a relatively low mileage 1200 MK1 engine, to do up and make shiny.
First job sort the stripped thread in the cam holder,
Went to find my box of 7mm helicoils and couldn't find it!!

held in with silicone!!
took the lid off and the thread is fine???

easy peasy
Reading this. I've still got your helicoil kit. I'm sending kris a cover on Sunday. I'll add it in with the parcel.

I run the EMGO mirrors on my 91/92 750. Collectors and restorers have made originals stupid expensive. They work well enough.
What's stupid prices? And I guess some models are harder to find than others. As in this post

I'll have a look tomorrow after work. I Know I've got a pair of slingy mirrors. Just not sure on the spacing.

What's the mount centres your looking for??

The ones in the link look similar to M/N style mirrors which have narrower mounting spacing.

So my set up is a 91 slingy frame. Choice of 750 or 1100 top braced swingers, k10/l0 bpf forks. In harros world endurance yokes. Which are adjustable. Pla. On an ohlins rear shock and possibly uprated fork internals.
Currently at the 140cm with the 750 swinger

What's the gt2871r like. I see the popular ones are the holset and gt2860

Power I'm unsure. But fuel injected and a built motor. So should be able to handle some power
-
So I have another swingarm I can use that's 50mm longer. Would we say this would be a fair compromise??

Turbo Harris is 149cm with 16/44 gearing and the Turbo Slabby (Scratcher) is 152cm with 16/43 gearing at the moment.
How different to stock is that clive?

Bit of a curiosity question hear. Mainly aimed at slingy framed turbo bikes.
What sort of wheel bases are people running. To not upset the handling or improve the handling on there boosted bikes.
My slingy build currently sits at 140cm spindle to spindle. Rear block is roughly at the centre of its adjustment point.
I've not been active in the project section for ages. But will be very soon. Just been collecting parts etc

92 oilcooled?? And 93 water-cooled???

So it turns out that the FPR stuck open. And was not doing its job properly. That and the split pipe.
So pyro is lives again.
Few bits to button up chain etc and tidy a few bits. Then going to the dyno to check everything is all good.

If the float bowls are not getting dynamic boost pressure the increased fuel pressure will certainly over pressure the float valves leading to flooding!
Sound. I never noticed the split it the vent pipe. I have redone all of it now so fingers crossed it's sorted.

Hi all. Quick question.
I've been rebuilding pyro. And I'm having a few issues.
The engine keeps flooding. Now I never noticed that the float vent pipes into the up pipe had a split in. Would this have been the cause of the problem. Catbs are good clean and fresh etc..
I don't really want to put decent oil in yet. If there could be something else I've missed.
Any thoughts boost junkies
Also a big thanks to everyone who has had input in this rebuild. And sorry if I've come across a little shitty.
in particular
