I have read the link you posted. Thanks by the way.
Everytime I try to sort turbo parts for my build. It don't work. Had the warp speed manifold that @clivegtonow has. Got a second hand pete kit. But that hits the tyre on almost full compression. (Was made for a bandit i believe). Think i nead to have loopy make one or someone else. But i struggle with what turbo to use.

Why not run an oil cooler. And then a head oil cooler upfront.
Hope you had a good drive back from mine today.

A very simplified approach would say - how many Holset turbos do you see used against Garretts at the drag strip?
And the answer to this is?? Ran at a few events last year. But not so many turbo bikes. Curious

The ones I pictured are similar. The bolt flange seems to be steel and the rest stainless.
I hit one with a flap wheel and they clean up. But I would imagine they would end up the same. Unless painted etc. Or have some lazer cut out of stainless.

Post some dimensions and I'll check

Hi gents,
Hope you're all doing well.
In my absence I have recently re-aquired my old b12.
The last owner didn't exactly treat her well so I'm striping it to tidy up (and try not to fuck it off and just fit bits to the GSX...)
However I cannot for the life of me remember what these buggers are called.
The system I believe is an old Micron sprung system which was fitted to a GSXR11 at some point, but these lil bitters need replacing along with the flanges. Any ideas where to get new one's?
Any help greatly appreciated.

I believe I have some of these going spare. We'll for some ££

I'm guessing it's the maxspeeding brand you are looking at. It's cheap
Looking at similar compressor maps I don't think it's the best choice out there for your application.
If you still have stock b12 camshafts in the engine I think 150ish are a bit optimistic.
I know the cam sprockets are adjustable. Might pull the cover tomorrow and see what cams are in it. This will be another question!! All this is new to me!!

It's hard to say what a turbo are "good for" It depends on your engine combination. In your case I would calculate with a 120hp engine. At one bar it will produce 240hp. Two bar = 360hp if the exhaust back pressure are kept in check and the intercooler can support the heat. Roughly estimations, but gives you a idea when you check compressor maps
I'm still trying to absorb the info on maps etc. The previous owner of the motor I have claimed it was around the 150 ish bhp mark. Before going low comp for turbo etc.
I don't have an intercooler on my build. But have been looking at the possibility of having one.
What's the thoughts on this turbo??

It's not a slabby. But I'm just not sure what turbo to use with the engine spec. And every manifold I find/buy I have clearance issues. The above pic is a tdo4 something! Don't really want to cut the frame!!! Well any more
