  1. The weather here is quite pleasant actually, its 28 degrees celcius and at night drops down to 23, in august it goes up to 32-34 degrees by day and winter 5-7 degrees so... plus the rubbers are not dry, they flex but wont stretch the extra 2mm ... cheers
  2. Thanks alot for your help mate cheers
  3. KCR JCP 13110 40co KCR JCP 13120 40co KCR JCP 13130 40co KCR JCP 13140 40co These rubbers are too small for the carbs and i dremeled them yesterday just enough for a snug fit, also they needed lots of modification to align perfectly to the intakes
  4. I have a set of bst 40s with their rubbers, will search for them monday, you think they would work ?
  5. Alright mate any idea where to purchase the boots online ? The ones on Eblag are chinese
  6. The issue is i have ported the 748 head, and when fitting boots the are way off and cant grind off anymore material and fuck up the ports
  7. Thanks for everyones input, tho im worried that different boots wont match perfectly to the intakes, i already have that issue with the 1100 boots on my short stroke 750 head
  8. Good day everyone, just received my rs38s last week while on honeymoon, got home yesterday and tried mocking them up on my 748 dot*head which has 1100 boots and they wont go in ! I plan on putting them on my 1127 for the moment until the dot*head is finished but im guessing im gonna face the same problem, so what do you guys do to make them fit ?
  9. I just finished porting the head, it will go into 1127 block to replace my N head (shim type), for the moment i wont go with bigger valves but i do feel a 5 angle valve job would benefit the flow. The head also has a very very slight dimple on its face me the ring of fire on combustion chamber #2 which im going to remove by skimming 0.3mm at the shop. Im afraid that attacking the job without backup numbers might ruin things. Hence the question
  10. Hello everyone I'm in the process of finding me a manual for the 748 but in the mean time I'm taking the head to the machine shop for a valve job and i need to know valve spring height for this head (*dot*head) to know how to go about this job. Cheers
  11. Thanks for explanation, say what now!? 1460 said it was a fueling thing that cant be replicated on the dyno thats why i asked. Cheers
  12. Curious to know what are the benefits of running hoses vs not running them...performance wise i mean

    Diy degree wheel

Thx say what now!? i was wondering if the wheel could be slipped under the rotor ? I mean i really have no clue really ! Do you place the wheel then rotor ? And obviously turn with rotor 19mm hex not 5mm rotor retainer bolt ?

    Diy degree wheel

The ones ive seen were mounted on the ignition side not the flywheel, is that the flywheel bolt or one you sourced from elsewhere
  15. Im making my own degree wheel out of a thick piece of plexiglass, 28cm diameter, just a question whats the diameter of the center hole ? And how to bolt it to the engine ? Behind the timing pickup ? Infront ? What to do. Cheers
  16. Exactly ! I asked a couple of weeks ago this same question, having an 1127 head and a *dot*head id go with the free +2 point compression instead of taking off 1.5 mm which is kinda crazy tbh, you would hit the lower fins with that much material taken off. Can take .03 off and hit the 12.5 mark easy if you really want to fron the dot. Best thing you could do tho is to measure everything to be certain of what numbers you have
  17. No, you need to marry the valve to the seat properly, so coarse grit paste until you have a uniform seat all around, then fine paste to finish off

    *dot*head question

I mentioned it was going on a 1992 gsxr 1127 (vacuum operated tap)

    *dot*head question

Right.. ill grind the frame then no biggies. Lol just kidding im guessing the filters will hit the beams? Really hope not the carb body itself

    *dot*head question

Yeah i already read that sticky thoroughly, the head is going on a 92 1127 frame with 38 faltties, ive heard someyhing about the alternator needing a bit of grinding, ill see when i get there i guess. Thanks for all your help mate cheers
