  1. Yes dezza its been sitting on its sidestand for a year
  2. Ok i just want to say ive removed the carbs more than 8 times rechecked everything a million times i cleaned them twice thouroughly pressure blown them vaccum tested everything and my problem remains. I have fuel in 1 and 2 bowls, if i remove the bowl screw fuel comes out. I have no kink in my fuel lines. Number 3 and 4 run perefct. I checked spark and all 4 have sparks. I checked compression and all have good compression at around 10 bar each. Header downpipe temperature of 1 and 2 are very low naturally but the weird thing is if i pull the choke then they fire and temps build up to normal untill i close the choke and it stops firing again. Timing is good too no skipped teeth no worn rotor. So what the hell is going on ??!! Carbs are cv40's on an N (oem)

    Hello im new here

So i can see more hp with a rocker head with cams ? As for compression i have access to 98 octane so i dont thint that would be an issue sorry for so many questions mate i appreciate all your help

    Hello im new here

Actually the only reason im considering a rocker head is the availability of aftermarket cams plus its less work then actually converting the shim head to rocker( cheaper too). But i wonder if keeping the shim head would be a better choice since it flows better and if i put in 30-26 on stock cams should i be seeing same results as rocker head with 30-26 plus cams ? I mean whats the ultimate engine combo?

    Hello im new here

So there is virtually no difference between 89-90 heads and 86-88 heads ? They are the same ? Also do you recommend going bigger on valves with the shim head with no cams ? Cause i cant find any cams for the shim head, or could i produce more power with the rocker head with big cams and big valves ? When you said shim heads take 30-26 did you mean rocker heads dont have the clearance for 30-26 ?

    Hello im new here

I was thinking if there might be a difference in spark plugs between the heads ? Maybe i can tell the difference from an 88 and a 90 from the diameter of the spark threads ? The 90-92 heads use 12mm thread sparks maybe the 86-88 use something different ? I mean there must be something to differentiate them. Valve angles maybe ? Should i carry a protracter with me from now on ?
  7. This is my first ever attempt at rebuilding a shock so thanks for the support i WILL not be able to successfully go through all the steps without your feedback so thanks again. I ordered the rebuild kit now its just waiting.. Cheers
  8. Yes i know but if you look again at the pic i posted the kit says 19mm shaft 46mm piston 49mm reservoir so i was referring to the reservoir because when i measured the od it looks to be 51mm does that imdicate 49mm id ?
  9. I de-pressurized it mate, and removed the spring so im sorry to fuck ur fantasy, can give you a link to some vidz where you can see some dudes oiled up tho i mean if thats what your into..
  10. This is the closest rebuild kit i found to my shock but im unsure of my piston diameter and reservoir piston diameter too. The od of my reservoir is 51mm does that indicate its a 49mm piston inside ? And is the main piston 46mm ?
  11. Got ya man, im currently searching in different places and now i know what to look for. Thanks
  12. Thabks for the link Martin, i have watched that video a while ago but im afraid that shock has completely different internals than mine since its way older and its a different catehory all together, cheers tho
  13. You reckon its a su003 or su002 ? Im about to clock on the buy button for the rebuild kit
  14. Very helpful info ! Do you have a rebuild manual by any chance ? What rebuild kit should i get for it ?
  15. I went on the ohlins site and cant find the manual for this shock, maybe too old ? I did find a 805 thats for a tl1000 but mine is 4 digits 8050 and not a piggyback.. ? Im looking for a rebuild kit and a manual to guide me
  16. Thanks for the info mate just measured and its 320mm from centre to centre
  17. The print is a little faded i tried my best but im afraid thats the best i can do
  18. Will post the spring numbers and lenght when i get back home in a bit, im looking to refill it with nitrogen 300 psi im guessing ? And fit it in my N 1100, looking at the numbers i dont think 2mm of length will make a difference since i have a raising kit installed, and as for the 5 mm shorter stroke ? But it also has v818 on it what do u think that is ?
  19. Can someone help me with the exact name of this shock since i want to order a rebuild kit ? Also how do you fill it with nitrogen i can see a valve ? Sorry for the basic questions i have no idea about these
  20. Alright seems like its junk i get it but can i know why ? What makes it so bad ?
  21. So what would you suggest ? Cant i work around it ? In your opinion
  22. So apparently it turns out to be for a 93 1100w. And the bike did not start. I tried the oem rotor and the provides rotor. Nothing.. checked spark and there is definitely spark but no startup. Might it be the pickup on the 93 is different ? Or is the timing for the 93 completely alien to the 92 ? What should i try i know people have made them.work for their bikes i just dont know how. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys
  23. I managed to pick up a brand new powerpak today box and all. Im excited to install it first thing tomorrow, i have it already set at 2-2 since im running full race exhaust. Anything i should look out for with these ? Do you guys keep the stock pickup rotor or install the supplied one ? Also what gains and changes should i expect ?
  24. You are using std springs on big valves and high com pistons ? Doesnt that increase risk of floating ?
