    i have had a few sealed speedos repaired my katana for one. trying to find a good one is hard to do unless you know of one? do you? its just the way the picture was taken it sits at 0

    yes the front end and tyre size is std.

    so if its the right speedo, i will look into getting it re calibrated does anyone have a speedo hub drive they could reed the ratio on it for me to compare with mine.

    i have a 1990L 750 and i think it has a different speedo fitted to it(maybe off a slabby) it has a orange needle and has 280km. the tacho has a red needle. the problem is that it reads nearly 20kms to high at all speeds does anyone know what its off first, and what does a original 1990 one look like. what is the gear ratio on the hub drive( just to make sure i have the right one)

  8. they should only spark once when the kill switch is flicked on and off. i would be checking the starter button and make sure its not short circuiting
  9. thanks Gixer1460 yes there is only 1 dash light for both blinkers. so looks like i will have to stick with the std globe
  10. fixed it but not sure why it was doing it. last owner put led globes in the dash lights I put a std globe in the blinker dash light and both left and right blinkers now make the light flash. change globe back to led and only one side makes it flash, turn over led 180 other side works? so i gather polarity problem try swapping wires over on the blinkers, still same problem? i will just leave it with the std globe but the led globe is much better as you can see it in bright light. unless someone has some insight into why it would be doing this.

  12. 2 different headers 90-91 long stroke, 88 short stroke i have been looking for a complete system for my 90 and all company's only have the short stroke as it was more common.

  14. when i swapped flasher cans over the std one only used 2 wires(yes it was a 2 wire flasher can) but there is a 3rd wire(black/white strip) that is not used? maybe the bike should have a 3 pin flasher can and not a 2 pin?
  15. okay, thanks for the input fellas. i will check all earths and wiring again. there are only 2 wires coming out of the dash bulb and go into the loom. so without pulling the loom apart i will have trouble tracing them.
  16. i have a weird problem both blinkers work but only the left one flashes on the dash the dash only has 1 light for both blinkers and i have changed flasher can, swapped wiring over on the right blinker in case it was wired wrong, checked all wiring and connections. i bought the bike not running so i dont know how long or why this has been happening.

  19. I have bought a new clutch cable and fitted it,all works without binding buton the right lock it bows up above the tachometer and touches the screen.maybe I have it routed it wrong? Is there a picture of how it goes or can someone explain how it should fit

  22. i have just bought a 1990 slingshot 750, which had been in storage for 3 years i have pulled the carburfuckingettors down to clean them and they were in very good condition gave them a bath in the ultrasonic cleaner and checked all passage ways and jets all good except power jet plugs. i cannot for the life of me see a hole or blow anything through them and all 4 are the same? i have never worked on slingshot carburfuckingettors ,so not to sure weather they are sealed or not (power jet plugs) any other secrets i should know about these carby , i have worked on many mikuni carbs just not these
