  1. Confronting images, but hey, at least the OSS logo is clearly visible while sliding
  2. I still haven't sourced a set of SV calipers, but I should. Currently fixing some other stuff on the bike. @Gammaboy do you have drawings of the adapterplates? I'll ask someone to make them up.
  3. Thank @arnout for this, I believe it's his site.
  4. There ya go: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw-_KxmRcaTMZjVmYTBiMDMtMzg4Yy00Y2YyLTk2MGMtZTAxZGM1YTcyY2Jk/view?authkey=CMTF1uAB Or http://www.katanaclub.nl/techniek/service_manual.php freakydeaky Dutch but it's the links at the top of the page.
  5. More? They weren't even finished by the weekend I believe! Great pics @minx, had a lot of fun with all who were there, great stand, great riding.
  6. Couldn't figure out where you were in the Paddock, so missed my chance to have a look at your bike Brill weekend!

We will be on the rock from the Wednesdaynight 31st of May until Friday the 9th (so no Senior, but hey). Travelling inbound via Liverpool, outbound via Heysham. It will be @Rene EFE, @Eef, @Leblowski and me
  10. Spotted by a Practical sportsbikes member on Oulton park last week:
  11. Aren't we all grownups? well anyway, it works now, had my testmonkey test it yesterday. Just have to testride it a bit longer to see how the heat problem develops but since we have checked the sump and there are no blockings at all it can be assumed that the carbs were the main problem.
  12. It's not difficult, but when things happen which you cannot explain, you look for other options. Both @Rene EFE and I have pulled apart Carburetors more than often and we couldn't tell what was happening here.
  13. I hear you both. But the issue with the new carbs was so strange that we needed to filter out any errors on the 1st set of carbs. Anyway. Removed all good parts from @bruteforce his carbs. Needle valves, tubes, emulsion tubes, everything that had something to do with fuel. And put them in the 'old' carbs. Result, bike running as shitty as before and not able to hold a steady RPM (yes, they are balanced). So that clearly wasn't helping. Went back to the old situation again, the 'new' carbs as they are. But first we've checked the petrol flow as these carbs have 2 fuel feeds and the old ones have only one. No blocking whatsoever. As you can see above, the double fuel feed. Then fitted them to the bike again, filled with a test on/off loose fuel tank and presto, success. Bike was running very smooth and kept running. Vacuum working, and it was sucking fuel in. Next step, fit the fuel tank again and test the vacuum tap. We let the bike run empty on the fuel hose so we made sure the hoses were empty and we were able to see the fuel flow. Fired it up and it instantly started sucking fuel from the tank and kept running. So that seems to be solved! Test ride will be made tonight to see if it is still running hot, too bad it's so cold outside...
  14. Bit of an update on the progress... Bought the carb's of Bruteforce, and all his spares as he won't be touching them again. As the 34's he was running were modified for turbo usage, removed the double springs and checked other things. Jet was actually a good size compared to my previous setup and the slides were already drilled. The only difference with my previous carbs was that these have 2 fuel feeds, not one as the ones that were on. But this was already connected via a T-piece. Fired the bike up with a test tank (with a simple on/off tap) and it fired up instantly and sounded so much better than before. Happy So, fitted the bodywork and the rest to the bike, rolled it outside, fired it up for a testride and... Nothing? It wouldn't start. We quickly found out that the carbs weren't getting any fuel, so vacuum problem? Don't know. Turned the tap to PRI and it didn't solve the issue. So wheeled the bike back in again and pulled it apart. It is strange. Everything seems to be right but the carbs don't pick up their fuel as they should. Solution for now is to transfer all the new bits (needles, tubes, slides, etc) to the old carbs and try again... Grrrr.
  15. Same plate as above used, didn't build it myself. Bike's in the lockup now so it looks a bit greasy, but you get the idea:
  16. This should do the trick, I thank you
  17. Good effort @maxwin, my (street) ET has a oil cooler conversion just as @Pete750ET is showing above. Will take some pics of that tomorrow and post them here for reference. Don't have any drawings on it. And regarding the stickers, I'm sure @minx can help you with some!
  18. Well, that escalated quickly. Bought @bruteforce his carbs as he converted his bike to EFI.
  19. I didn't use bruteforce to drive the pins out... but thanks, will have a look and @bruteforce you have a message regarding your carbs...
  20. Good to know! How do you remove the floaters from 34's? They seem to be fixed to the carb... I cannot get to the float needle valves. they sell it here: https://www.mpartz.nl/profi-fuel-max-270ml-carburateur-reiniger-p-22535? will order some this week
  21. Did a fair bit of work on the motor yesterday with @Rene EFE. Sump fitted again, surgically cleaned (but there was no debris in it). And it fits even better than the last time (no sweating/leaking). Decided to use the 34's instead of the 38's as they were completely different from my other set of 38's (BST38SS), for which I have a kit with new needles and emulsiontubes etc. Went for a different main, instead of the 132 dyno jet, a 130 Mikuni big jet so it tightens the emulsion tube in place. Needles in the one to last bottom groove of the needle. Fitted the exhaust and fired the bike up with a bit of fuel. Started instantly and sounded much more healthy than before. Let it run and everything seemed good. But cil 1/2 were flooding with petrol, so that needs a bit of research, again, the carbs... We'll see if we can get it properly running with these carbs in this state. I do want to ultrasone them but first I need to buy an ultrasone cleaner (or send them out).
  22. Very curious, any updates on the bike @maxwin?
  23. I will certainly not chuck them in the bin. But because I have 2 sets of 38's Mikuni in the house which look quite clean and neat, just going to try them. Together with Ram air filters on original airbox mounts. Probably will ask @bruteforce to give the 34's to his ultrasonic cleaning guy....
