MooreMatthew replied to MooreMatthew's topic in Oil Cooled
Think now is the time to snap them up if going cheap could be a garage extension on the cards Just to finish smartening my turbo blandit fueling and wiring then can make a start on one of them -
What cdi you after I've a 750 that was going to list up

Why do I see a slabby project and have to buy it
MooreMatthew replied to MooreMatthew's topic in Oil Cooled
Was hoping the 750 was going to be a quick flip but its turned out going to need little more work than I wanted to do -
So bought a 1100 off the for sale page Just picked a 750 up today Then got another 1100 to come end of month Just took my slingshot 1100 frame for powdercoating to build before others
-
So acquiring parts together ready to start to build the bike and I've noticed that undertray is really poor and with the rest of the bike going to be well sorted as such and fibreman fairings how has everyone got round the old undertray since Jason doesnt make them for slabbys but does for slingshot Cheers Also picked up a 750 slabby that needs little work and this doesnt have one at all
-
Hes asking for 1500 but think it could be a little too much But I've not really seen many 1100 projects up for sale so hard to price I've a few projects on at minute but find it hard not buying slabbys Just bought a 750 that I don't need but had to buy it So now got 1 slingshot 1100k 1 slabby 1100 and a slabby 750 projects
-
What would you recon would be a reasonable price to pay for a slabby 1100 been stood for a fair few years no front side panels or belly pan.rest all there Motor turns over by hand but then stops so would need top end coming off anyhow
-
Not using for track just building a bike up The frame and swingarm I've got are 1100 so will this still lower it by 10mm ish Thanks
-
The setup I was considering is off a l2 gsxr 750 as the front will be lower due to running Aprillia front end I thibkbthis could work and also not using a potentially 15 year old shock What you reckon
-
Looked up and found that the 1100 had a eye to eye length of 315mm Seen a shock that is 310mm will this lower the seat height by much Also what others using shock wise Thanks
-
Been using one on my turbo bandit Single outlet on off Works spot on And can obtain for cheap
-
Be nice if it's the 6inch rear Next time your there would you have a look for me Also can you remember what you did for chain alignment or did you just bolt it in for now to get it rolling
-
Looking at them they in good condition so looks like I'll make use of these and clean up the scorpion system once built the bikes Cheers
-
What size rear wheel is this. Looks well
-
The headers on this bike are a devil system and someone welded a 3 bolt flange to end for the yoshi can Not sure if to sell or use them Anyone got feedback how the headers perform in comparison to say a scorpion system or akrapovic that I have in the garage also I need 2 systems for 2 bikes I'm building so wanting to keep the better of the 2 for performance wise Thanks
-
This is the set up I'll be putting into the bike does have a 6 inch wheel that could be interesting to sort out
-
Anyone got any pics with Aprillia wheels in Or in a slingshot just to get the general idea of the look Thanks
-
That’s the type of pump I’m running got it off a someone who got one but never built a turbo bike works well and better than a electric one as know it’s working all the time

K7 gsxr Swingarm set up in a slingshot 1100 k frame
MooreMatthew replied to MooreMatthew's topic in Oil Cooled
That looks a proper build Originally was going to build it up fairly standard with some L forks but as always can't help bud to build something a little bit more special Might get some measurements and trial for the parts to my frame Did you have to swap stem out for the front end like you have to on most conversions Thanks -

Doesn’t sound too bad to fit just contemplating what to do now I have front and rear ends complete would you say the forks are too short for the slingshot and need a step yoke or extenders making
