  1. Problem now is that it'll do this once. If i stop cranking and then start again i get nothing. If i power down and then power back up again it works again but only once. I KNOW it'll be something daft.
  2. I think we're getting somewhere, powered the MS up and went into the tooth logger and got this:
  3. Quick update; On Dan and Jacks advice, I've reflashed the ECU to the latest fireware, gapped the VR sensor properly AND tightened the screws properly so the gap doesnt close up!! As I didnt have a tune in the ecu, just basic sensor calibrations, I'll have to re-do them Just calibrated the TPS for now. Without going into ANY of the settings to check, I stabbed the starter button and WAHEY a signal! Strong and consistant too. Was until I tried to datalog it anyway. Doesnt seem to want to know again. Can someone point me in the right direction for what I should be setting the basic ignition settings at? Im usuing a Bosch 211 ignitor and Denso 129700-4800 coils off a K4 GSXR This is really beginning to burn my head out now. Could get a lovely set of flatties for what this lot would sell for.....
  4. Spot on mate, need to shorten the link pipe a touch and get some springs for it, get the bastard thing running and it's done!
  5. Righto, I'll get onto that tomorrow. I updated TS before I had a play with it before, I'll flash the microsquirt and try again
  6. Just spun turned it over with the plugs out and the rpm gauge in tuner studio briefly registered cranking speed. The line on the datalog was all over the place and then went flat Heres my setup for info. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I can't suss the bloody thing
  7. It's a 50mm wheel I'm using, just can't get a reliable signal going. I have got one plug out though so I don't know if that'll affect it. I'll take the other three out and report back...
  8. Anyone have a magic spell to get them to work? Ive spent the last 4 hours trying every possible gap, swapping wires round and still cant get a reading in my datalogs. I had 1 log that showed a trace from the sensor but without touching a thing it disappeared again! The engine is a 750m, N/A and Im using the standard VR sensor with a 36-1 wheel with Microsquirt. Loom mocked up with wago connectors and running shielded wires back to the ecu Using VR input 1. Help!!
  9. Use the busa knuckle or srad knuckle, make spacers to take up the slack either side of the bearings, then make a pair of dog bones or get some adjustable turn buckles from McGills Motorsport. Space the top shock mount out too iirc. Should be the same procedure as fitting a srad arm I think anyway, although I'm full of Guinness right now and could be wrong!!

I dont think tr standard intank pump would keep up with the demands of a forced induction system so youll be forced to go external with a bosch044 or similar also a rising rate pressure regulator. Ill gladly be proved wrong though! Ive got a thread going on here for my moneypit so I'll get that updated with pics to save cluttering this thread up

KMS is a good system, but not quite as catered for as MS. MS is open source too, so if youre that way inclined you can mod the software and add/remove as many options as you want. Firstly, do you want to go fuel only or fuel and ignition? Set of K2 600 TB's are gonna be your best bet IMO. Easily respaced to fit a proper engine and then deciding what fuel pump to use is the next hardest descision! Ive opted to weld the bottom of a K4 tank into my slingshot tank as it looks cleaner to my eye that running an external inline pump and means I dont have to run a pressure regualtor as its built into the pump. Triggerwheels.com do a 50(ish)mm 36-1 wheel that'll fit a B12 Engine and retain the standard VR sensor MK4 Astra MAP sensor VAG Ignition Amplifier and a set of K4 (ish) Denso stick coils Im using a Sierra Cosworth air temp sensor because it was kicking about, but any other is just as easy to use, It'll be fitted in the air stream of either pot 2 or 3 through one of the holes that the secondaires used to live in and an engine temp sensor of some description. Wire it all up (Microsquirt comes with a labelled up loom so you just need to shorten and terminate as req) plug the computer in and youre away! Ive got myself an Innovate LC2 Wideband controller too as it'll make mapping and keeping the AFR in check a lot easier, but if you dont map it yourself your mapper will have one that'll stick into the end of the exhaust
  12. Are you using the bandit cdi or the slabby?
  13. Hmmmm, can see these being bubble wrapped and stuffed in the loft for future consideration....
  14. Any idea what bearings i'll need to swap out?
  15. Been offered a set far too cheaply to say no. Question is will they fit my 750m? Std showa forks on the front, 750 SRAD swinger at t'other end
  16. Looks that way! Might have a Gs550 engine on the cards, if that doesn't happen B6 it is!
  17. I'll borrow a 750 CDI and see if it runs on bench. If it runs i'll go with it if not I'll try and get something a little easier to work with! Plus point is though, there is a load of bits on that site and theyre all cheap enough!
  18. Carbs generally or these in particular? Im beginning to think thus motor is a bad idea! Only owes me £50 though so not the end of the world if I dont use it. Any one have any clues about cdi compatibility?
  19. Hmmmm so much for a straightforward little OSS engine for the ratty chop build then! Any ideas what other (if any!) CDI units will be compatible with it? If its gonna be a royal PITA i'll just move it on and keep a look out for something a bit more common to put in the frame
  20. I think its GSX, just need to figure out what year etc so I can try and get a cdi (or has it got points? not even had a proper look at it yet!) for it and a sprocket cover
  21. Just picked up an engine and carbs for my chop, bloke said it was from a GS but other than that he wasnt sure. Engine number is N702-113604 Any ideas?
  22. As per title really! Anyone know the thread size/pitch for the in/out on a straight shabby cooler? In the market for a new cooler and don't want to buy new oil lines and fittings if I can help it!
  23. I would stick a k7 swingarm in too tbh, theyre cheap enough and fairly straightforward to fit. Wheels will slot right in then! If you dont buy the wheels I'll be interested!!
  24. I've got a pair of rear shock mounts that I chopped off a scrap frame a while ago 'in case they came in handy'. Yours if you want them?
