Can you swap one to the other? I've got a shortstroke motor with a buggered cover so if I can just do a straight swap, that'd be nice

Swap for the Slabby?

to be fair; to make ANY frontend fit anything else will at most involve a stem- and bearingswap.

750L Slingy in mine, totally original. Copes very well with the heavy bike (suprisingly)

Should be fairly straight forward with all the bits. Swap over the gearsensor and keep the gearindicator on the dash. Oilcooled motor though; moving your thread

Hello and welcome.
Here's one I did earlier
It's gone now, as the engine shat itself. Bike handles REALLY well with the mods done to it, did 2 runs to the TT.

Does anybody have any or made a set work with Slingshotwheels?

Get HD enginecovers instead. I've seen more than a few bikes written off BECAUSE they had crashbungs fitted.

Do you think it be ok to make a bracket that'd be held in place by either the cam cover bolts or the cylinder bolts that are used to make cam links?
I wouldn't do it from the camcaps; the treads on those are fragile just doing their job, let alone doing more.

From my experience I would say it's not the best choice and will not aid your skills development.
Or did you just not bother ?
My first bike was an EFE

Mine is all stock apart from a 5/8-ish offset front sprocket. No mods to frame or arm

Is there a popular swingarm that goes on with the least fuss that people like to use?
No, apart from bespoke swingarms for an EFE, all involve welding.

I'll just give it a try then. The gasketface is the same, so my guess would be to swap the lot and you're fine. I will report back.
