  1. Think the rs line of carbs got developed off the tm,s. Tm,s just seem a bit more compact But I think carbs are always down to how good they get set up no matter what type. After running rs type carbs in the past and now having a set of tm33.s I have to say I will stick with the tm carbs, IDK they just feel smoother all round. Good that your bell crank is in the middle not between 3 and 4 like mine. I had to mod the tank to make am fit. looking at your picture weather it's camera angle or something. The spacing looks equal across all four. Suzukis usually pair 1.2 closer 34 closer with a larger space in middle. Could be photo though. Use them!! They will be great old skool
  2. Yes but 2 number 2 cylinder and 2 number 3 cylinder as 1 and 4 are angled. The back plate is about the same thickness as airbox so Sat in the groove quite well. The black sealant I used was 3m 5200 series marine adhesive good for ally rubber bonding. Hope we don't get anymore before the end of the year too
  3. I was going to buy that bike! Lol. Didn't in the end other things transpired. Definately got gsxr wheels and forks what year I don't know. But the arm is an old skool kalfab arm. They made them in California for all the 70,s 80s gs,kz,cb. Quite sought after now, worth a lot more than you paid for the whole bike I think you also have some 29 smoothbore carbs on that bike if in not mistaken. Good cl find man.
  4. Didn't come off too bad. Tree or two down and power out for 6 days but many more had It tougher than our area. Got off lightly with that one. Thanks for asking man! Still looking for an 85 750as though. Pm me if you see a cheapie up there
  5. Its a pipercross px500 series ordered it with a blank backplate and bored it to suit the carbs. Fits nice and is efficient not crazy on price either. Its in their competition section.
  6. Thanks for the compliment @Fjbj40 Got to get some riding in now the hurricane crap is gone and before the snowbirds decend on us shame you didn't get the Bakker.
  7. Tm33s or bored out vm29ss? Both would be good on 1100et got a set of tm33s on my 1170 gs1000. Work great. They will fit the head but don't know If you could adapt them to Your airbox if you are running one. Somebody will be along soon with more enlightenment on thatThink the rule is you can fit anything to anything if you have time, patience, hammer and cash As with any carb swap/change there will be the usual jetting, needle changes but for 1100et they will probably be close unless they have already been messed with.
  8. My 29s have a raised area on one side for the spring location but have a 5 to 6 mm counterbore for the rod to sit in. On another note @Robinjo on the right hand carb as Sat on bike there are some numbers and letters (model code) I think. What does yours say?
  9. If you are keeping the 1100 rods then gen 2 busa it is. You can do a 1260 in a stock 1150 block but it leaves the liner reeeeely thin plus trying to get a set of 1260 pistons with 18mm pins may be hard to do, mtc list them but thin liner on road bike 77mm 1230 pistons are available and will bore into an 1150 block no prob.
  10. Guessing Toni is using mk1 busa 20 mm pin as said in his post with 1150 rods. Havnt messed with the gen 2 stuff. All info is good when looking for cheaper ways to big bore
  11. If you do the 1370 busa pistons in stock block do all your deck height checks and then machine the block before you put the 1127 liners in ( think it's 75thou or 1.9mm from memory) keeps the top lip nice and thick also liner stays as long as possible. I got a cometic fiber head gasket from them much better than copper for the road.
  12. Think the 1000 block may window out with 1127 liners. I do know you can do the busa piston gsxr liner swap into an efe block as I did one a while back. You could put 1150 efe liners in the 1000 block they won't window out.
  13. Aren't 1980 gs1000 carbs cv,s I know 79 was slide type. If cv,s could need a good clean or have a vacuum problem.
  14. @Dorkburger thanks for the info. I'll check your area out on cl. Still looking for an 85 750. The one I saw was an 83 Squeezed the bike in the front room for the next few days girlfriend isn't home yet I'll cross that bridge when I have to. Don't know where this ones going to hit yet. Looking like Miami is favorite. I'm in dunedin. Still it's the biggest hurricane yet so there's risk anywhere in florida
  15. Check US eblahh item 272669417224. Looks close diff part number but black and silver. Dey got a ruler next to it too other than that it's just a matter of dropping on one. 750 and 850 same size as 1000.
  16. Like @arnout said painters can't use the codes so after 3 months searching a mate of mine managed to get an old touch up tube from Holland for me. I then took it to the guy who was painting the bike, he sprayed it out on a bit of tin and finally matched it as near as dammit to an early ford colour. Hope this helps in some way
  17. They are 04 busa with 3" extenders. Think somebody not far away from this reply got me them from Cresent Suzuki if memory served me correctly The arm is 91 gsxr11. Had to machine frame pivot area down to get it in! 3mm off each side. Took some thought getting it in the mill
  18. @coodymunta it has been a long time man but now I get to ride and fine tune her!! Before the next one
  19. @370steve that's an awesome price!! Probably got that in hours and materials never mind the filler it's self
  20. Thanks for the advice on the suspension after building drag bike's for so long you tend to forget about suspension Its def a lot smoother in the power delivery than I thought it was going to be. Lots more torque down low than expected, Havnt revved her to max yet as running in but spins up fast Its good to have Upperton around when you need a motor specking out! Thanks for keeping an eye out for flatties let me know.
  21. Thanks Rijko! Did the test this morning deffinatley different now I decreased the nitrogen. Still need to play around a bit but all good. Inspired to do the Schwants rep now. A mate just got a lead on a scabby 700es for cheap!
  22. Thanks if you call Racefit I think they will also fit them for you not only supply the part. Don't know how costly that would be. Their parts are serious high quality
  23. Should get seat late next week! I'll do a vid of her running. Sounds awesome!!! Just a pic of project number 2. This one won't take as long!! that's what we all say! Not easy to find a good one here as a donor bike.
  24. Thanks Another bit of bling but useful. Holds 2 pints more oil now.
