Dezza Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 I have 1.5 1100 slabside engines that will collectively form most of one good engine. I have a 78mm Wiseco piston kit for it (no gaskets yet) which I think wil give me 1109 cc, and is as far as the stock liners will take. Do I have to source a specific head gasket or can I use a 'stock' head gasket? Comments appreciated Quote
Sandman Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 The head gasket for the 1127 engine should work. 1 Quote
Jaydee Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Try and get a slabby 1109 gasket instead of 1127 slingshot gasket. Look at the top of your barrels to check the size of the six counterbores for the head gasket seals. Slabby use 17mm seals and slingshot/bandit use a smaller 15mm seal. Simplier to match gasket with correct seals to the correct barrels since you're about to order as opposed to using whats sitting on the shelf. 2 Quote
