Rene EFE Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Following a discussion, I’d like to find out if EFEs would be more rare than Katanas. My logic behind it is the EFE was only built from ‘84 ‘till ‘88 (?) and the proper Katana has been available in Japan up until the current century. Are there any real numbers for this? Quote
wraith Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Don't know about numbers (would be nice to find out, as you say) You use to see more EFE's about than Katanas, but as the EFE engine was sort after for a long time, I think a lot of them for dismantled for the engine, then put in drag bikes and chips etc. I think the KOC found out how many Katanas where still owned/tax via the DVLA. 1 Quote
arnout Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 You can browse the RDW database. I found 200 1135cc GSX1100's (including 1 SB5) and 100 Katana 750's and 1100's. Somewhat strange to find such round numbers though.. Quote

The engines out of those are going into kit cars and grass track cars like there's no tomorrow. 2 Quote
