Swiss Toni Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Anyone give me the length and diameter ? Quote
gsx Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 16 mm and not sure on length but think about 315 . Can't find one either Quote
Paulm Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 There are two spindles I believe, one 14mm and one 16mm,couldn’t tell you the length though sorry. Quote
E T Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Just measured mine 16mm x 290mm (from underside of head to start of thread) hope that helps 1 Quote
Swiss Toni Posted January 8, 2018 Author Posted January 8, 2018 Found one to fit my 1100 frame @ 16mm. It's too short though. Won't go through the footrest plate. Just long enough to get washer and nut on. Quote
E T Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Ah bollox my mistake my bike had raask rear sets, it's been in bits too long and I forgot the spindle went through peg mounts If I have original spindle I'll give it to you. Quote
E T Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 @Swiss Tonisorry mate I must have had my spindle cut & rethreaded, don't remember it was quite a few years ago, just searched through all my et stuff and a box of spindles. The only 16mm one I have is the one I measured the other day my apologies for posting wrong size Quote
gsx Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 They seem to be rocking horse but searching on the net I think yzf 450 ones fit , can't check cause it's written down at work .Will look morrow Quote
Swiss Toni Posted January 9, 2018 Author Posted January 9, 2018 Mine would do, at a pinch, if I used rearsets. I'll pull it out tomorrow, and get the length. Quote
Swiss Toni Posted January 10, 2018 Author Posted January 10, 2018 (edited) Measured my pin. It's 312mm from under the head to end of thread. So, OK to use with rearsets, but not long enough for std. footrest plates! @gsxBe interested to know dimms. of YZF450 one thonugh. Edited January 10, 2018 by Swiss Toni Quote
gsx Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 Just checked and it's 16 x 312 mm, not sure if that includes the thread. Shabby gsxr 11 are 315 mm think they are 16 mm as put an arm in a gs 750 frame years ago Quote
Swiss Toni Posted January 11, 2018 Author Posted January 11, 2018 I'd say, measured from under the bolt head, you'd need around 335mm to end of pin to be able to fit std. footrest plates. 1 Quote
mick-ne Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 Toni I have a 750 spindle that's too long as I'm using rearsets I will measure it maybe we could swap ? Quote
Swiss Toni Posted January 11, 2018 Author Posted January 11, 2018 Sounds good, Mick. Let me know? Quote
