Possibly building a hybrid 810 short stroke long stroke motor.

I'm lucky to have the choice of a set of rs 36 carbs or rs 38 carbs.

What would be the preferd carbs. Bearing in mind I have a bandit motor with a slightly flowed dot head that one or other can go on for my Harris.

I spose the question is, will the 36's work well on the 750 l 810 slingshot.

Answers on a postcard..

Can't put post cards on here (I think) xD

If it was me and can answer via the site ;) I'd put the 38mm on the b12 motor and the 36mm on the 750.

That's just me :)

and i'll just throw in a wobbly and go the other way basing it more on how you may use the engines

the 810 - sounds like you'll be more intent in chasing rpm = big carb

the 1100 - more of a mid ranger = smaller carb

yi also got the height to consider - harris + DOT head with downdraft port + taller 38 carb - could be a frame clash - atleast TBC

The 36's and the 38's are phically the same size. So no space issues.

Think I'll use the 36's on the 750 for now.

Cheers for the reply..

TBH - the 36 is such a nice carb to work with - responds to common sense tweaking  - haven't tried the 38 yet - got a set but like the 36 so much never felt the desire to bugger about with the 38's - yet
