Buddy Posted August 1, 2015 Share Posted August 1, 2015 Hi ladsi have a gsxr 1100 chassis etc that I'm building a bit of a bits a out of, bandit 12 engine loom etc to be fitted, I'm wondering if the 1100 tank with sender, will work on the 1200 loom for the fuel sender? Ie, did the 1100 have a gauge or a warning light? If it had a warning light only, wondering if I try to use 1200 wiring into it for the sender, will it read as normal gauge, or would it only show on gauge as 1/4 tank or so if the 1100 only had a warning light? Gixer1460 Posted August 1, 2015 Share Posted August 1, 2015 Probably won't work at all! GSXR sensor only worked when uncovered / in air. I'm not sure how they function, if NO or NC but it certainly isn't a variable output that the Bandit gauge needs. 1 Quote Link to comment

Captain Chaos Posted August 1, 2015 Share Posted August 1, 2015 the switch in the tank is very easy to wire up, it only needs one wire to a light/led somewhere near the clocks, and a wire to earth. Another wire from ignition to the light/led and you're done. 1 Quote Link to comment

Zero the trip meter - run bike to reserve - work out relative capacities of normal and reserve and you'll have potential range. Just zero trip every time you fill up and you cant go wrong.
