slabby suspension

I've decided to keep the original forks and wheels on my slabby, purely for looks. What springs do people recommend to replace the tired old springs? Are cartridge emulators worth the hassle?

Also I've decided to do an R6 shock conversion. As any secondhand ones will be a bit worn out, can anyone recommend someone to do a rebuild?

R1 shock in mine works really well.

Maxton ,do a really good reworking on stock forks, there good enough for classic TT. As cregnybaa will tell you on here. Emulators and linear springs are best, progressive ones, Same price?? And I'm with Clive on R1 shock there fantastic upgrade just needs heavyier Spring to suit, I used K tech but most others are good also,

I run a stock 2005 r6 shock and spring

Good enough to win club races.

Plenty of guys out there who can freshen them up.

That answers my question, I'll get a 2nd hand R1/6 shock . Dupersunc, can you give me the details of someone who can freshen it up?

I use this man he is very good, reactive suspension near york. You can pick them up in very good condition, the one in my slabby has never been touched.

Reactive are very good 

Like Clive mine's not been touched.

Mine hasn't been touched in 6 years racing and 3 Manx Grands Prix.  Still working well.
