clivegto Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Am I right in thinking that a 1100 slabby swinging arm with the 1100 linkage will fit the 750 frame & vice versa. Quote
dupersunc Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 The frames are quite different so you may need to mix and match bits. I've got a 750 with an 1100 arm, I think I ended up using a 750 link, because I'm running a longer R1 Shock. Stock length 750 shock, the 1100 link will work, and give a bit of extra ride height. 1 Quote
clivegto Posted October 11, 2017 Author Posted October 11, 2017 So sounds like keep the shock link with the frame & the arms are interchangeable. 1 Quote
gray711 Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Clive, the linkages & arms are different in terms of where some of the bearings are located - the 750 arm has a bearing on the knuckle mounting point, where as the 11 doesn’t - the bearing that performs this function is located in the big eccentric spacer ....... but yes, stick with the right linkage for the right arm & it will work. I’ve had an 11 arm & linkage on my 7/11 for years. You may want to check that the linkage has full travel when fully compressed, in relation to how you have your suspension set up & spring rate etc as the 11 linkage may touch the frame (below the the mounting bracket) on the 750 under full compression. I have parts diagrams for both arms & linkages so you can see differences but they’re all on photofucket at the mo. I can download them & email you them if you want or go on alphasports & have a look through their parts diagrams . 1 Quote
