Jpich85 Posted September 2, 2017 Share Posted September 2, 2017 After having a ride on the bike yesterday I noticed a bad flat spot between 5k-6k I've read that it can be a problem on the 1990 bikes but wondered if anyone knew what could be causing it? It's a standard bike with a micron exhaust system and air box but I haven't looked inside the carbs yet to see if any previous owners have modded then at all. Cheers Quote Link to comment

no class Posted September 6, 2017 Share Posted September 6, 2017 Close enough to cruise rpm..... check the needles for wear .... they tend to rub on the emulsion tubes during throttle changes at higher rpm's from intake suction ..... what may appear to be minimal wear can actually change fueling characteristics ......easy fix . Remove top cap and pull out the slde assembly..... check the needle .... replace if shape has been altered . Quote Link to comment
