Jpich85 Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I'm doing a streetfighter build on my gsxr and wanted to get a nice oil cooler and upgrade the lines that feed it, I just wanted to see what people recommend and where might be the best place to get them? I've seem hel do them but is there anywhere else that'll also do the oil lines too. Cheers Quote

ET81 Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 i've got a chinese one aswell, it doesn't do anything so if you mount it properly its fine. Got my lines and fittings from demon tweaks Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 (edited) I had an earls kit on my Bandit i bought second hand years ago, cost £150 then... But a stone holed it at a track day, i wasent going to pay £300 for a new kit so bought a £50 chineses one and made the lines for £60ish all in i think,,, Edited August 27, 2017 by fatblokeonbandit Quote

Jpich85 Posted September 8, 2017 Author Posted September 8, 2017 Thanks mate I think I'll go with the an8 hopefully they'll be ok, I'll get that fitted then look at the lines, I'll probably be asking questions on that too lol, can you buy new parts for where the hose connects to the engine head near the cam cover, I'd like to update those too if I can. dixiethedog Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Ive bought cooler's direct from China via Aliexpress.com with no problem's. Quote
dixiethedog Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 And An fitting's. But usually I buy from Torques if I need thing's quickly. Quote
Jpich85 Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 Thanks guys sorry to mention it again but what fittings do you go for? The an-8 ones say ORB-9 9/16 or there's different ones you can choose? What does that mean and which ones should I go for? Thanks Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Not sure what you mean shipmate..?? If you are after something similar to what ive got on me 'arris, then you need a meter ish ( measure first) of -8 braided hose, or -10 which ever you choose, Go to TorquesUK ebog shop and everything is in the menu there. then i used 2 straight fittings and 2 45 degree -8 ones, depends on where your fit the cooler and what pipes you have, you need to offer it all up and look at the routing of the hoses to clear the exhaust and stuff??? and 2 x 16mm to -8 sump fittings Im 90% sure they are all 16x1.5 mm thread but check your sump Quote
Jpich85 Posted September 13, 2017 Author Posted September 13, 2017 Thanks for your help again mate, I think I was looking at the male connectors and not female like I should of Quote

Jpich85 Posted October 12, 2017 Author Posted October 12, 2017 What type of hose is best for the lines, is it the teflon one? Quote

Teflon lined hoses for coolers is unwarranted - not enough pressure to worry them .......Rubber with braid cover is perfect and more flexible considering their size............................and cheaper!
