The red stacks are original for the later 600's.

I have some shorter ones which are silver and from an early model, 96-98 I think.

I reckon anything should work better than your original 'airbox' , not wanting to be rude or dismissive though.

SRADS do seem to like a decent volume of fresh air to suck on.

the only issue I can see you having is getting your 750 carbs set up with an airtray.

I think its worth a shot though.

It ran fine when it was first built, so I just need to figure out how they did that.

Seem to remember some 600 carbs having the red trumpets.

I've used AirTray method on my race f400 made huge difference on top end. Sounds amazing too.much easyier to make work that all that elbowed plumbing.

Did you use inletrubbers on the Carbs, or just free-breathing?

Those red trumpets were stock on all carbed srads. You'll definitely need them to make the carburation work properly
