GS1000 exhaust crossover

Just bought 78 GS 1000 and was wondering if an 82 GS 1000 header would fit?

The last model year for the GS1000 was 1980 (T model, ET, ST) although obviously some would have been registered later.

But yes, all 8 valve GS1000 headers will fit.

I've been told that even the GSXR headers fit...

But I nevwr tried personally

I once tried GS1000G headers on my GS1000E. Didn't fit.

Can't think why. Same block & head.

Frame's different though. Was it fouling?

Wouldn't go under the sump pan, headers were too short. Not OEM though but a Marshall 4-1.
