Help to identify header

Hi, just wondering if anyone would recognize which header is this?

This came with other 1100 M years ago and always thought it is some cheap one, but now been seeing few very similar ones on sale as Yoshimura ones.

there is no markings on the header (or they are under sandblasting and paint). Would be great to know where the markings should be (if it is Yoshi) or if someone can tell which is it.

Dont mind the end can, that is ugly selfmade one. Thanks!

I always thought the Yoshi ones had a balance can/pipe connecting 1+2 (and separately) 3+4 Yoshi duplex ? ..... Might be wrong , wouldn't be the first time O.o

Only the duplex exhausts have that, they made lots of different exhausts back in the day.

I've had a few Yosh headers that looked similar to that, also had Vance & Hines headers that looked similar. On the basic steel exhausts I don't think they ever marked anything, even on my stainless exhausts I can't remember anything being stamped. Only the exhaust straps and the mufflers said Yosh, and maybe the exhaust fittings if it's the style that is held together with springs. I think you'd have to measure and compare it to a known Yosh full system to know for sure.

Thanks, mine is different. Diameter is 38mm and the pipes go for the collector pipe in different order.

Damn, was hoping this to be Yoshi one.

So that exhaust George posted probably won't fit an 1100M without moving the oil cooler. Yosh made a bunch of different exhausts at different prices and for different bikes. Yours may be a Yosh header, might be another brand. It looks like it was designed for an 1100M by the way it turns down so close to the head to clear the huge curved cooler. Without finding the same model Yosh exhaust and comparing, it's hard to say what it is. If it helps, it does look similar to my 750M Yosh exhaust and the header pipes are the same layout as mine.

Thanks again. Looking over internet it is definiletly not Vance & Hines. Did not manage to find M/N model Yoshi exhaust picture

I guess I will call it Yoshi and live happily ever after.

btw. I don’t understand Yoshimura’s logic not to offer any new exhausts for slingshots. However duplex system for slabbie seems to be well available.

Couple reasons, restored slabbies tend to go for more money, older, rarer, they were the first...and which slingshot? K/L or M/N? They only make exhausts for the 1100s, and the fitment is different around the oil cooler between the two versions of the slingshot 1100s. They could probably just do an M/N fitment for all of them, but they're probably also waiting for demand to go up more. I've got a 750N, and exhausts for it are pretty much non existent now other than Hindles, and not really what I want. All part of the fun of owning 32+ year old motorcycles.
