Brians 7/12 Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Will a longer shock fit & if so will it do the same as dropping in a modified 1100 linkage to raise the height?… & would it raise it by the same amount… say one that is 45mm longer?… or is that not possible !? Quote
clivegto Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 (edited) Yes but you will have to trim the knuckle. Edited December 13, 2023 by clivegto Quote
dupersunc Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 A 45mm longer shock will have the linkage hard against the stops. You can grind material away here and there to gain a bit of clearance, but 45mm is a lot. I run and early r6 shock tgat is around 18mm longer than stock, still had to grind material away to get enough sag in the rear suspension. Quote
