BlatantNoobery
Hey all, I'm rebuilding the top-end of a GS850, and really do not want to take apart the bottom end. However, I figure since i've had the jugs off that at least some small amounts of debris, pieces of gasket, etc, might have fallen into the crank case. I can see very little "bits" past the crank sitting at the bottom of the case that i've love to be able to get out with out disassemble. What would y'all do? Quote Link to comment
TonyGee
pull the sump off Quote Link to comment
Gixer1460
If the top end is off then sploshing diesel over crank and around the cases with either drain plug out or (for more mess) with sump pan off - will get it squeeky clean and won't hurt anything - all obviously AFTER you've dropped the oil and filter! wraith
Sump off, then you can see more inside the bottom end then wash out as aboveĀ Quote Link to comment
BlatantNoobery
Thanks, Wraith! You haven't steered me wrong yet. I'll be doing that this weekend and hopefully getting everything back together! Quote Link to comment
