Got to go abroad for work next Monday so no time to arrange anything, even though it would probably just about squeeze into my garage (which is basically full of bike stuff as it is, and I fall over it all when moving about) :(. New shed planned for summer.

Bit of an update on the Martek. The engine is all rebuilt, Vapor blasted and fitted. New hel brake and clutch master cylinders and levers fitted, all new hel lines throughout. Oil cooler in place. Just waiting for the exhaust to be built. Looking into fuel injection, digital clocks and a wiring loom.

Had a play with the oil cooler tonight. Moved brackets round and flipped the oil cooler 180°. Sitting and looks a load better now

Hopefully the exhaust and a few other parts should be with me in the next week or two. Decided I might build it with out a front light and just have a number board and go for a day time mot.

fuel injection throttle bodies are mounted, just need to get a few spacers made then mount the engine back in the frame and get wired up. Getting there slowly

So what manifolds did you end up using in the end ?

PS No such thing as a daytime MOT ...anymore

Still waiting for the manifolds and exhaust to be made. Been promised the end of august, I’ve heard that a few times though so not holding my breath.

i have been looking at front lights again so should hopefully be fully mot’d

I'd suggest at this stage you go for something fairly cheap and generic for the headlight. Get the bike up and running then see what you like. It's easy enough to swap it for something else down the line a bit.

I think D & D meant the carb rubbers you used to mount the throttle bodies - which ones?

Your right, I was still half asleep when I replied this morning.

i ended up using the ones I had, got to have some spacers made as had to split the throttle bodies in half to get them to line up. Going to have to slightly port the inlets into the engine to ensure a smooth flow. Will get there. Going to have to have a try built I think to mount the ecu and fuel injection controls onto, should have space under the tank and will be hid between the frame rails.IMG_8337.thumb.jpeg.3e3fc37d8cf5ba0940b94e1c13a54ab6.jpegIMG_8338.thumb.jpeg.ce16f9311dd0af4d510d9a4a6b5b9cf9.jpegIMG_8339.thumb.jpeg.fcf292224b67e4594d9f4f9767beaa49.jpeg

Ok, so you had to re-space the throttle bodies! That's one way of doing it and as long as all is good, all is good (y).

Yeah had to re-space the throttle bodies. Got a mate who fits them to cars and dose engine work so he’s going to help me and port/ gas flow the engine inlets. Getting there slowly (y)
