davecara Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 90mm spacing, what’s my options? 6 pots are toss I know slingy and B12 Nissin 4 pots will do the job well and some Trumpet calipers are the same? anything else worth looking at? Theyre going on J1 ZX6 forks for reference. Fitted to an OSS obvs Quote
Joseph Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 (edited) Triumph calipers are just the rebadged Nissin. ZX7RR Nissin 6 pots are allegedly very nice to have. Overall nissin is superior to tokico it seems. You can't go wrong with the classic 4 pistons jobbies Edited December 16, 2022 by Joseph Quote
Joseph Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 Not super common but quite easily findable 1 Quote
TonyGee Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 the big kwaka 6 pots are meant to be good, i know a few lads who have fitted them to busa's because of the spongy problem on the suzuki. i looked into it and it turns out they use different seals. I fitted a set of kwak seals to a busa once as the customer asked me and low and behold they blead up no problem and not spongy !!!!!!!!!! 1 Quote

I've heard that its because the profile of the nissin seals is not a straight edge, and being compatible in diameter you can indeed use them to improve the Tokico Quote
TLRS Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 That's interesting. The gold toxico's are different afaik. Alloy pistons and only one fluid connection between both caliper halves. Which is where the tricky bleeding comes from I believe. If you can find a set of Nissin six pots.. those ought to be well nice. Or AP's (if anyone knows any about, please let me know!). Quote
Tony Nitrous Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Folk tell me the problems with Toxic 6-plops is with maintainence, or bleeding them and they just need a bit more care. Ive had them on a couple of brand new bikes and IMO they were never anything special, average on a good day is an apt discription. 1 Quote
