Kat, 1100e and 1150 efe parts swap

Are the engine cases and transmissions from an 1100e, 1100 katana and 1150 efe interchangeable?

Not without mods, efe crankcase mouths are bigger than the 1075 motors, clutch, crank, rods, pistons, starter clutch etc etc all different

Im looking for new cases for an efe motor with damaged cases, so I have all the internal parts. I found a Katana parts motor nearby.

By crankcase mouths do you mean where the sleeves fit into the cases?

Like @johnrsaid there are some differences but overall they are very similar and required mods should be fairly small.

For that swap you probably need to open up the crankcase mouths for cylinder sleeves and use a 1100 output shaft bearing. That's all what I can recall from top of my head.

What exactly is the damage to the efe cases? If taken to the right person, you'd be amazed at what can be fixed.

Front motor mount is missing pieces on one side and the pickup area has been pretty badly smashed an looks like there is a crack somewhere under all he repair putty as it is leaking oil.
