Tony H Posted October 25, 2021 Share Posted October 25, 2021 Folks Pictures show lightened crank in my turbo motor and missing tooth. A small bolt fell into engine. Result snapped camchain and tooth off crank. Consensus seems to be take off sharp bit and rebuild. Opinions? 1 Quote Link to comment

Whether a reliable weld could be achieved is questionable - failure could be again worse than the repair. Would I chance it unrepaired - maybe in a streetbike / daily hack but a turbo bike - hmmm, I don't think so! Best ask a crank builder / expert . . . . Rupperton would be a good shout! Slightly different but mate had quacker seize on him big end picked up. He had crank metal sprayed, he's not fast rider at all but I still pulled a face. Not something I'd do. Maybe at work on a big machine thats very slow rpm perhaps. Yep it lasted about 2 days. Quote Link to comment
