jett90 Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Is there a difference between any of the GSXF 1100 motors? I am looking to buy a complete motor gasket set for the 88 GSXF 1100 project i'm working on. The gasket set I was going to get says it's for a 91 and 92 GSXF 1100. Would have thought the GSXF motors from 88 to 93 were the same. Any one know what the differences are on these motors?? thank you Quote
Gixer1460 Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Did they have the shim valve adjusted head like the GSXR's - only difference I can think of that they might have had for those years? Quote
Captain Chaos Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 AFAIK they're all the same, from '88 till '94. Quote
jett90 Posted October 11, 2021 Author Posted October 11, 2021 Thank you for the responses on the question. The motors all had the screw adjusters and I'm quite certain they were all the same. The 88 year had smaller carbs versus the rest of the model years but I'm not aware of other differences. Based on the responses here and the little I know I went ahead and purchased the 91/92 labeled gasket set. Quote
Captain Chaos Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 I thought they all have the 34mm carbs? Quote

jett90 Posted October 12, 2021 Author Posted October 12, 2021 (edited) Yup....you guys are right. They had the same size carbs as well. I don't know how I came up with that one. Much appreciate the response on the gasket set question. I ordered it today. Edited October 12, 2021 by jett90 Quote
