Hacri Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 Anyone done this swap? Pro and cons My 1135 will not run good, and have a complete 1100F (no papers), and it runs goood. Quote
Gixer1460 Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 Er - only a few thousand times . . . . . probably LOL! More modern engine although getting on for 30+ years old, looks lost in the AC frame, needs bigger oil cooler, carbs will be equally bad to set-up with age, more powerful generally although less torque, likes a smaller gauge chain, hardcore oldskoolers will either hate it or love it! Captain Chaos Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 one I did earlier and one I did more recently (although there's almost nothing left of the EFE frame ) 5 Quote
RevinKevin Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 I had an efe for about 13 years..loved it..it eventually died and I picked up a cheap 1100F..it was ok..fast but dull as dirty dishwater. The power delivery of the air cooled 1135 is far superior and way more fun ..I swapped the 1100F for a BSA500 A7 and now have another efe. Get the efe engine fixed, it will be worth it 3 Quote
stockcar Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 My thoughts also........if you want oil then keep it in the later frame...... Quote
