1200 s bandit electric problems

My bandit will start but dies right away will run if I hold starter button down was running fine then started popping and backfiring throwing 2 ft blue flames

Sounds more like a fueling issue rather than electrics to me.

My first look would be the RH switch assembly - get it apart and liberal quantities of contact cleaner to all contacts whilst operating the switches! Sounds like the power is being cut intermittently so acting like a 'rev limitter'

Much more detail is needed for the symptom description and the background to the problem. Was the bike running OK before and then suddenly developed a fault? Or has the bike been left standing with fuel in for a long time? Also, your (limited) description states that you have been holding the starter button on when the engine is running. This is not a good idea for so many reasons
