Tony Nitrous Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 Picked up some more air cooled (ET) bits today. I know some bits fit both the 7 and 11 but others are different. Is there a difference between the cast alloy rear peg hangers? I thought they were the same on 11’s and 7’s…. but maybe not. Anyone know for sure? Quote
Stumpy Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 My 1100 ones are alloy and my 750 ones are pressed steel and then chromed, they are rotten so have 1100 ones i will fit Quote
Tony Nitrous Posted July 31, 2021 Author Posted July 31, 2021 (edited) I just offered my 1100 ones up to my 750 frame and they didn’t seem to line up. I didn’t know the 750 ones were pressed tin not cast alloy. Edited July 31, 2021 by Tony Nitrous Quote

I bought a pair of 1100 ones, cleaned all the paint off and give em a good polish, when i went to fit them they just don't go in far enough !!!! you would have to machine some ally off the back side so they sit closer in but their is a metal bracket welded to the frame that sticks out too far, you would have to cut it off and weld another one on in the right place further in. by the way some 750's came with ally ones from the factory but a bit harder to find, i did see some on be gay the other day that i was gona buy !!!! 2 Quote

Mine is missing the end caps and the correct spindle / spacer but I can’t see any obvious dramas. 1 Quote
