Swapping liners

Is it out ok to take liners out and use them in different block.the cylinders I just took off my project bike are rusty and pitted but I do have a decent set in an old block I have.is it ok to do this

Why not just use the hole spare block with the good liner's instead of swapping them?

Or is the spare block f##ked?

Sorry didnt mention it's got alot of fin damage

I have swapped them, jest heat the block up in the oven, the liners will just about fall out.

And when you press them back in your un-damaged block, put a weight on top of them as they cool, to stop ‘creep’!

And then give them a quick homing in, so they are still true to the pistions
