MrS819 Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Hi Does anyone know if there are any differences between the 1100 and 750 et frames? And if there are what are they?ThanksClive Quote
KATANAMANGLER Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) The only difference is the the position of the lower engine mounts in the middle of the bottom frame rail. If you put an 1100 motor in a 750 frame you have to make a small adapter plate to move the engine mounting point forward 10mm. Or you can run without them which some people do. berty Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Have run without bottom mounts on my 7/11 for few years now - never been a problem . Even when it comes to an MOT . Quote
Spike Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Did a 750 build with a 1100 lump like Katanamangler says.Very easy, went in without a problem. Quote
Tony Nitrous Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 I bought a 750 frame last night and already have an 11.Not aware of anything other than the bottom engine mounts but if I spot anything (unlikely) I will post it up. I asked the same and all info was I could use either. Quote

FBJ Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 If ya think about it folk dont use bottom mounts when these engines are mounted to trick frames. Harris. Spondon erc Quote
Paulm Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 You will have to make new mounts anyway if you are putting an oil cooled motor in either frame.Paul Quote
